Earlier days come back at widening intervals, so a word introduced on day 1 returns on days 2, 4 and 8.
Is Italian hard for English speakers?
The US Foreign Service Institute classifies Italian as Category I, estimating roughly 600–750 hours of study to professional working proficiency — one of the fastest for an English speaker. The first 30 days are the easiest part of that curve, which is why a short structured start is worth more than it sounds.
What should I learn first in Italian?
The words you will need in the first five minutes of any conversation, in this order: greetings & introductions, numbers & counting, essential courtesy, about yourself. Day 1 is: say hello, give your name, and ask someone theirs. Many courses open with colours and animals instead; those are easy to teach and rarely the thing you need to say first.
