Is Polish similar to other Slavic languages?

That is a real foundation, not a finished language.

Earlier days come back at widening intervals, so a word introduced on day 1 returns on days 2, 4 and 8.
Is Polish hard for English speakers?
The US Foreign Service Institute classifies Polish as Category III, estimating roughly 1100 hours of study to professional working proficiency — moderately demanding, mostly because of seven cases. The first 30 days are the easiest part of that curve, which is why a short structured start is worth more than it sounds.
What should I learn first in Polish?
The words you will need in the first five minutes of any conversation, in this order: greetings & introductions, numbers & counting, essential courtesy, about yourself.
